Site Profile 2020

Sanana, North Maluku Province

Also known as Sulabesi (Sulabes), Sanana island is part of the Sula Islands Regency, extending from north to south below Mangole Island. Sanana island has a potential for its abundant tuna, therefore, we focused the implementation of sustainable fishery program on Fair Trade and data collection. Our work in Sanana was established in 2018 covering 1 village, 1 landing site and give direct support to 110+ fishers. The development has now grown with support from MDPI for MSC expansion in 2021 as another achievement of eco-label to increase catch standards in sustainable ways.
